Who is Dr. Tajuana L P Smith

Dr. Tajuana L P Smith was born in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Smith is an educator at heart. She has taught for over 25 years. She was an Early Childhood Educator of Prekindergarten 3 and 4 year old at Molade Child Development and BLIM’s Learning Center for 7 years combined. She continued her career upon graduation from Chicago State University at Chicago Public Schools as a classroom teacher/Technology Coordinator where she worked with children who struggled in math and reading for several years, she continued her journey with Providence St. Mel as a Technology Coordinator while she worked on her master’s degree in educational administration. She then opened, owned and operated her own 24 hour home based child care for 5 years where she cared for over 40 children before she was forced to close and return to the traditional classroom setting. When she returned to Chicago Public Schools, she joined with a different vision. She joined as a Technology Coordinator where she developed curriculum, developed computer departments, managed the network staff, assistants and instructors for several years.

After years of contemplating relocation, she decided in 2010 after the passing of her grandmother, Mildred Patterson, it was time for a FRESH NEW START! She continued on her career journey of teaching and education. In 2020, she became disheartened by the consistent downward spiral of education and began seeking other entrepreneurial ventures. In August 2021, she signed up with Healing Thine Arts and completed her Certified Faith Based Training. Although Dr. Smith has not made any official decisions on her new journey, it is in the making…STAY TUNED!
